October 2022 | Video Block Updates, Content Tile Grouping, Custom AddOn Row
Overview
October 2022 brings three new features to Beefree SDK.
- Video Content Block Updates. Additional video formats are now supported.
- Content Tile Grouping. Content blocks in the sidebar may now be grouped into collapsible categories.
- Custom AddOn Row. Custom AddOn content may now be developed in rows.
Description of Changes
Video Content Block Updates
This update adds support for:
- Unlisted Vimeo content
- Vimeo content in Cinemascope format
- YouTube Shorts format
- YouTube playback from a specific point in time
- Customizable Play icons
- Support for custom videos from custom repositories via Content Dialog
Reason for Change
Video content is heavily used by our creator community. These updates improve the usability and relevance of the video content block by adding support for additional formats and improving the User Experience.
Implementation
These updates will be automatically deployed to all builders. No administrative configuration is required.

Content Tile Grouping
This feature is available for all builders within the Superpowers and Enterprise pricing plans.
Content blocks may now be organized into collapsible categories in the sidebar.
Reason for Change
As the number of content blocks has grown, customers have reported a need to organize them logically. Additionally, customers with a large number of custom AddOns may benefit from this change.
Implementation
This feature requires development effort to implement. Please refer to the following:
Custom AddOn Row
This feature is available for all builders within the Superpowers and Enterprise pricing plans.
This solution enables users to add complex row structures with multiple columns that include, but are not limited to:
- Products from a catalog or e-commerce
- Events
- News from blogs, websites, or social
Reason for Change
The ability to aggregate saved row content blocks into whole rows increases the flexibility of the product. Users may now spend less time on workarounds and more time designing.
