Overview

Simplified Row Properties reflects our commitment to usability. This critical aspect affects how users interact with our product. After identifying several key issues, the latest update has been designed to address these, making the builder more intuitive and user-friendly. The changes will reduce complexity and enhance efficiency, aligning with the needs and expectations of our users. This update will automatically go live for all customers around the middle of September 2023. No administrative steps are required.

Reason for Changes

This latest update will bring some improvements to your users:

• Optimization of Features: We have reorganized the elements available in the sidebar to enhance understanding and ease of navigation.
• Reduction of "More Options": We have refined the sidebar to create a more accessible and streamlined navigation experience. The previous design housed many options within toggles or expandable sections, leading to a cluttered sidebar. 
• Introduction of Hierarchy and Headings: The absence of a clear hierarchy and defined headings in the sidebar previously hindered users' ability to discern relationships between properties and understand the purpose of individual sections and options. Our redesign explicitly addresses this, aligning with our ongoing commitment to make the UI more accessible and comprehensible. 
• Organization and Grouping of Features: Our redesign logically groups features, improving clarity and usability.

Changes to the User Interface

Row properties have been reorganized and are now grouped into collapsible categories. This change was implemented to simplify navigation and reduce confusion. By grouping related features together and allowing them to be collapsed or expanded as needed, users can more easily find and understand the options they need. This streamlined organization reflects our commitment to improving usability, making the interface more efficient and user-friendly.

Here is a view of the interface when all the categories are collapsed, showcasing the streamlined organization.

The categories where the different properties are located are the following:

• Backgrounds: that includes all the background settings;
• Borders: containing all the border settings;
• Layout: with all the alignment control and mobile settings;
• Dynamic Content: where users can select their display conditions; 
• Columns Structure: with the settings pertaining the columns layout and styling.

The image below shows the "borders" category expanded, demonstrating the new grouping feature within the interface.

We've modified the method users can enable stack on mobile by introducing ON/OFF buttons. Additionally, the stack order on mobile can now be altered using the two icon buttons, as depicted in the image below.
